Tradewind Voyages has canceled its Caribbean program for next winter due to uncertainty surrounding travel regulations in the region. The company has confirmed that the 17 trips planned between December and April will not take place, citing concerns about not being able to offer guests an exceptional experience and customer anxieties about access to certain islands and the possibility of having to travel in a "bubble.".
Tradewind has stated that it still plans to have its vessel Golden Horizon based in the region in the winter of 2022, following its Mediterranean season from May to October of next year.
Chief Executive Alan McGrory said: “Our aim has always been to deliver an exceptional guest experience; however, we believe that travel restrictions for the winter season do not allow us to offer the experience our brand stands for. Our commitment is to provide an exceptional guest experience, and with so many variables at play this winter, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Caribbean voyages. Instead, we plan to focus all our efforts on preparing for our 2022 European summer season and return to the Caribbean for our 2022 winter season.”.
McGrory added: “Those who have already experienced traveling aboard the Golden Horizon know that travelers on this spectacular ship deserve nothing but the best.”
Tradewind's Mediterranean season will include three collections: Western Mediterranean, Central Mediterranean and Eastern Mediterranean, with 22 trips including visits to Spain, France, Italy, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece and Turkey.
