Haropa Rouen will expand the Seine docks to accommodate cruise ships up to 250 meters in length at its Rouen cruise terminal, and will be able to receive the first ships of this length in the spring of 2023. Currently, the maximum length of ships that can call at Rouen is 240 meters, and the largest ship that has called, the MS Asuka II, measures 241 meters in length.
The works will begin in the winter of 2021 and will be carried out in two phases to avoid disrupting current scheduled calls in 2022. Passengers and crew will still enjoy Rouen's renovated Seine riverfront promenade, full of gardens and activities, allowing for a comfortable and pleasant stroll from the ship to the city's historic center. A blend of nature, restaurants, bars, terraces, nightlife, culture, shopping, leisure, and sporting activities attracts locals and visitors alike to discover the charm of the Seine.
