The Jewel of the Seas embarked on a two-night pre-cruise from Limassol, Cyprus, ahead of its inaugural cruise on Saturday, July 10, which will kick off a limited-edition summer series of seven-night itineraries to the Greek islands. This marks the first time Royal Caribbean International has called Cyprus home, offering vacationers and their families adventure and relaxation as they visit a combination of culturally rich cities and idyllic islands, including Limassol, and Athens, Rhodes, Crete, Mykonos, and Santorini, Greece.
The Jewel of the Seas will sail with a fully vaccinated crew and guests aged 18 and over, along with those under 18 who are unable to be vaccinated. As required by the Cypriot government, cruise passengers aged 12 to 18 who are not vaccinated must present negative PCR test results taken within 72 hours of arrival in Cyprus. All guests aged 2 and over must be tested free of charge on embarkation day.

The Jewel of the Seas is one of two Royal Caribbean ships returning to European cruises this week, with the Anthem of the Seas sailing from the UK on Wednesday, July 7. The world's largest cruise line plans to see more award-winning ships return through August, including the Harmony of the Seas from Barcelona, Spain.
