Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovative cruise company with more than 54 years of history crossing borders, reinforces its sales strategy with the appointment of Eamonn Ferrin as Vice President of International Business.

Ferrin will oversee NCL's sales outside the United States and Canada and drive the Company's international expansion by deepening existing relationships, creating new business, and further integrating international source markets into the Company's global business plan. In this role, he will report to Todd Hamilton, Senior Vice President of Sales.
Ferrin joined the Company in January 2019 as Vice President and Managing Director for the UK, Ireland, Israel, South Africa, and the Middle East. During that time, he strengthened the UK's position as the Miami-based cruise line's leading international market through strategic investments designed to support the travel agent community as part of the Company's Partners First philosophy. Key efforts included the launch of the NCL Freestyle Rewards incentive program, a new travel agent portal, Norwegian Central, and an NCL Air cruise booking platform.
Ferrin also increased NCL's market share in the emerging markets of Israel, South Africa, and the Middle East, where the company recently expanded its presence with the deployment of the Norwegian Jade. The ship will make NCL history by being the first to offer round-trip cruises from Cape Town, beginning in December 2021. It will sail a series of unique voyages departing from Dubai (UAE), offering Middle East and European cruises with stops in the UAE, Oman, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, and Greece. The Norwegian Jade will also visit Oman, the Seychelles, Madagascar, Mauritius, Réunion, and South Africa.
“With his proven track record in the travel and hospitality industry, Eamonn understands how to drive business both locally and globally,” says Hamilton. “We are delighted that he is taking on this role at such a pivotal time in our company’s history. Not only will we begin cruising this July, but we are also opening a new chapter for NCL with the launch of our Prima Class, which will see the delivery of six next-generation ships from 2022 to 2027. Eamonn’s experience and unique skill set will continue to be an invaluable asset.”

Eamonn Ferrin is an industry veteran with over 23 years of experience in travel and hospitality. He has held a variety of CEO, COO, and Managing Director roles in the UK, Canada, and internationally for brands such as Air Canada, Holidaybreak, and MyTravel. Outside of NCL, Ferrin is a member of CLIA's Executive Committee and the CLIA UK Steering Group.
“I am honored and excited to lead NCL’s international business at such a pivotal time for our company. Together with my new team and our valued travel partners, I look forward to continuing to expand our reach, capitalizing on the strong global demand for cruises and the new opportunities on the horizon,” said Ferrin.
