Cruises have been a popular vacation choice for travelers worldwide for decades. In 2019, 30 million people chose to sail aboard increasingly modern and luxurious ships of varying sizes, cruising the world's oceans and visiting numerous destinations. The cruise industry is vast, offering a wide range of leisure activities both onboard and in the ports of call.

CruisesNews Media Group is the leading Spanish-language communications and content company for the cruise industry, publishers of CruisesNews magazine, and organizers of major cruise events such as the International Cruise Summit and the Cruise Excellence Awards. The company, in combination with Escapa TV's expertise in producing and broadcasting travel and tourism content, will offer information on cruise lines, onboard dining, leisure activities, excursions, shows, cruise ports and destinations, itineraries, and river cruises, among many other topics. “When we started broadcasting on Escapa TV, there weren't any programs that truly showed what a cruise is like, what daily life is like, the excursions, the entertainment, cabins, or restaurants. We did it with river cruises, it was a success, and we went on to film three more seasons. Now we want to expand it to all cruises with this special cruise section, which our viewers are increasingly requesting,” commented Ángel Fernández, Content Director of Escapa TV.

Escapa TV is the most-watched travel, tourism, and adventure channel on pay TV, reaching an audience of over 500,000 viewers in 2021 through TV operators, streaming platforms, apps, and smart TVs. This audience is primarily composed of families and individuals between the ages of 25 and 65 interested in travel, adventure, gastronomy, and outdoor sports, among other hobbies.

“I thought it was a good time, a good initiative, and TV a good medium to showcase the magic of cruises and the world that revolves around this type of tourism. Through escapaTV, I am sure that cruise tourism will be shown in all its essence, and travelers will grasp those details of product excellence that cannot be shown otherwise,” comments Virginia López Valiente, general manager of Cruises News Media Group.

EscapaTV can be viewed throughout Spain via more than 177 cable TV operators, including Orange TV, Ahímás, MásMóvil, Jazztel, Zapi, Opencable, Perseo TV, Mobilfree, CableWorld, Telfy, and MasMedia, among many others. It is also beginning distribution in Latin America through MasMedia, and its app can be accessed with a simple subscription. EscapaTV expands its distribution network every three months, and its audience has grown every month since it began broadcasting.
