AmaWaterways has announced its plans to return to Europe's rivers and resume operations on board some of its ships starting July 3, 2021.
AmaWaterways Executive Vice President and Co-founder Kristin Karst made the following statement: “We are delighted to see the situation in Europe evolving in a positive direction and are very optimistic about the new entry requirements for tourists that will be officially announced in the coming days. We are proud to announce a selection of departures starting the first week of July in Portugal, in addition to other resumption dates throughout July on selected ships across all European rivers, including the most luxurious ship on the Danube, the AmaMagna, on July 21.”.
AmaWaterways President and Co-founder Rudi Schreiner also shared the following: “As we move forward with our return to the rivers, we will continue to monitor updates from global health authorities, local governments, and airlines regarding entry requirements. In the coming days, we will provide more information on the specific documentation needed to sail with us.”.

The dates set for the resumption of our operations are as follows:
- On July 3rd, AmaDouro will begin sailing through Portugal
- On July 21, AmaMagna will begin sailing on the Danube River
- On July 22, AmaKristina will begin sailing down the Rhône River in France
- On July 22, AmaLyra will begin sailing in France on the Seine River
- On July 27, AmaVida will begin sailing through Portugal and Spain
- On July 29, AmaDolce will begin sailing from Bordeaux, France
- On July 29, AmaSiena will begin sailing on the Rhine River
