The MSC Virtuosa, MSC Cruises' latest flagship, arrived in Southampton today, ready to welcome UK passengers. The newest and most innovative ship in the MSC Cruises fleet, the MSC Virtuosa, will embark on its maiden voyage around the British Isles on May 20.

MSC Cruises, the first cruise line to restart operations in the UK, will offer passengers a selection of three- and four-night mini-cruises from May 20th, and then, from June 5th, the ship will begin sailing seven-night itineraries. The week-long voyages include stops at the picturesque Isle of Portland and the cultural city of Belfast in Northern Ireland, and offer multiple embarkation ports, including Liverpool and Greenock, near Glasgow, Scotland, and up in Southampton.
MSC Virtuosa is one of MSC Cruises' most innovative and environmentally advanced ships. The 19-deck vessel will offer its British passengers of all ages the finest in fine dining, world-class entertainment, bars and lounges, boutique shops, a spa and fitness center, as well as a water park and kids' and teens' clubs. The ship's most spectacular feature is its iconic 112-meter promenade with a stunning LED dome, which forms the social heart and center of the ship.
The brand new MSC Starship Club will launch on MSC Virtuosa: The MSC Starship Club, the world's first futuristic and immersive experience at sea, will feature the humanoid robotic bartender, Rob, who will prepare a galactic selection of cocktails for passengers.
MSC Virtuosa's home port for the summer will be ABP Southampton, with whom MSC Cruises recently announced a long-term partnership. The ship will initially sail from the city's cruise terminal before moving to the Horizon cruise terminal to embark passengers once it reopens.
The MSC Virtuosa will become the third MSC Cruises ship to return to sea when it sets sail for its maiden voyage on May 20, joining two ships already operating in the Mediterranean: MSC Seaside, which welcomed passengers on board last week, and MSC Grandiosa, which has been sailing in the Mediterranean since August 2020. All ships operate under the same industry-leading health and safety protocol, including universal testing upon embarkation, which has been developed with a panel of Blue Ribbon experts.
