Costa Cruises presents its program for the 2022-2023 season

While working towards resuming its ships from May 1, 2021, Costa Cruises continues with its phased program to reintroduce cruise vacations. The cruise line has released its itineraries from April 2022 to April 2023, which are available for booking through travel agencies starting today and online from April 12.

The Italian company has many new additions to its program, in addition to the itineraries that have been so successful in recent years, with the aim of attracting new cruise travelers and surprising even the most seasoned cruisers. Furthermore, the itineraries have been designed to enrich the cruise experience, including longer stops in some of the most sought-after destinations, along with a range of new shore excursions to discover lesser-known but extraordinarily beautiful routes and locations.

Thus, in all Mediterranean ports, the "longest excursion ever" will be offered, visiting places difficult to reach independently. The onboard experience, which will continue to benefit from Costa's "safety protocol," will also be enhanced by an even more innovative culinary experience, with a menu of dishes linked to the destinations and created by a Michelin-starred chef.

For the summer season of 2022, Costa's offering will focus on destinations in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.

In May 2022, the new flagship Costa Toscana will debut in the Mediterranean, offering week-long cruises to discover Italy, France, and Spain, with an extended stop in Ibiza. Its sister ship, the Costa Smeralda, will also offer week-long cruises in the Western Mediterranean. The Costa Smeralda and Costa Toscana are the first ships in the Costa fleet powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the maritime industry's most advanced technology for reducing emissions. Costa cruises in the Western Mediterranean will also be available on the Costa Pacifica, completing the range of itineraries dedicated to the most beautiful destinations in Italy, France, and Spain.

Three other ships will operate in the eastern Mediterranean with week-long itineraries. The Costa Deliziosa will explore the Greek islands, with a day and night stop in Mykonos. The Costa Luminosa will offer cruises to the Greek islands and Croatia, and the Costa Magica will visit Greece and Malta.

Four ships will offer cruises in Northern Europe. The Costa Fortuna will offer spectacular two-week cruises to Iceland, or alternatively to Ireland, Scotland, and England. The Costa Favolosa and Costa Diadema will offer one-week cruises, respectively, to the Baltic capitals, with three days in Stockholm and two in St. Petersburg, and to the Norwegian fjords. The Costa Fascinosa's program includes 12-day itineraries to the North Cape and 9-day cruises in the Baltic Sea.

The 2022-23 winter season will feature the return of Grand Cruises aboard the Costa Luminosa: two fantastic 50-day vacations, from Genoa to Buenos Aires and from Buenos Aires to Genoa, sailing up the Amazon River into the heart of the Amazon rainforest. For those who love longer journeys, there is also the Costa Deliziosa World Tour, departing on January 11, 2023, from Savona, which will visit Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

In addition, exotic destinations for those who want to enjoy the sun even in winter will also be part of Costa Cruises' program. The Italian company will offer a one-week itinerary in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Qatar, and three different one-week itineraries in the Caribbean islands. New offerings for South America will also be announced soon.

For those seeking a closer connection to home, the Costa Magica will offer two-week cruises to the Canary Islands and the Azores, while the Costa Diadema will sail to Greece and Turkey, or Israel and Egypt. The Costa Smeralda will continue sailing the Western Mediterranean, and in the autumn, it will be joined by the Costa Luminosa and the Costa Fortuna, offering mini-breaks for a relaxing getaway. Also in the autumn, the Costa Fascinosa will visit Portugal and Spain, and the Costa Favolosa will sail to Morocco.
