Following Virgin Voyages' recent announcement regarding the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement for passengers aboard Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady when the cruise line resumes service, Virgin Voyages has been forced to make the decision to cancel Scarlet Lady's scheduled departure of July 4 and postpone it to September 17, 2021.
Virgin's Scarlet Lady was just days away from setting sail with passengers for the first time in March 2020 when the CDC issued its no-sail order. Since then, the cruise line has completed work on its second ship, the Valiant Lady, and announced the name and itineraries for its third ship, the Resilient Lady.
Customers with reservations on cancelled trips will have the option of receiving a future cruise credit valid for redemption up to one year after the original trip start date for any open trip until 2022. They will also have the option of receiving a refund of the amount paid.
