MSC Cruises has announced that MSC Grandiosa will resume sailing on January 24. Following the latest ministerial decree issued by the Italian government regarding new health measures, the company's flagship will once again sail on Sundays from Genoa, Italy, and will call at other Italian ports, including Civitavecchia, Naples, and Palermo, as well as Valletta, Malta, where passengers can also embark.
The latest decree authorizes the resumption of cruise operations under the health and hygiene protocol developed and approved last summer by Italian health, transport, and security authorities. Since then, MSC Cruises has welcomed more than 30,000 passengers aboard its two ships based in Italy.
During the Christmas and New Year holidays, and due to the issuance of a ministerial decree, all cruise operations based in Italy were temporarily suspended due to restrictive measures established by local authorities related to movement in the country.
