Swan Hellenic has announced the opening of its new North American office, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, to provide close, personalized service in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. With its headquarters in Cyprus and offices in London, Düsseldorf, and Monaco, as well as a branch in Hong Kong (serving mainland China, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia), and partnerships serving India, Japan, and Australia-New Zealand, Swan Hellenic's new North American office brings the company's direct, global client support capabilities to the forefront less than a year after its relaunch.

The North American team is headed by GM Tom Russell, formerly President of Cruise & Travel Executives, Chief Operating Officer of Global Voyages Group, and Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of North America for Silversea. Joining him are Mitchell Schlesinger as Director of Sales for North America (with extensive prior experience leading sales activities for Norwegian Cruise Line, Orient Line, and Voyages to Antiquity), Andrea Corman as Director of Customer Relations (with proven experience in customer service with Voyages to Antiquity, Uniworld River Cruises, and Oceania Cruises), and Nick Giersdorf as Director of Marketing and Digital (formerly Director of Marketing Technology for Global Voyages Group).
With such a high-level team dedicated to its North American customers, it is clear that Swan Hellenic is fully confident and committed to bringing its unique cultural expedition cruises and renowned personal service to adventurous and creative-minded explorers from around the world.
So, seventy years later, Swan Hellenic has returned stronger than ever, ready to take sophisticated cruise lovers to "see what others don't see," discovering incredible destinations up close, exploring fascinating cultures, and connecting with nature and local people in the company of like-minded individuals from around the world.
Three state-of-the-art expedition ships are currently under construction at the Helsinki Shipyards in Finland. The first two offer 152 passengers an elegant, intimate, and personalized five-star onboard experience, delivered by a highly trained staff of 120, including expert expedition guides and lecturers. The first ship, SH Minerva, will set sail for Antarctica in November 2021, while the second will embark on its maiden voyage in April 2022.
Alfredo Spadon, Senior Vice President of Swan Hellenic's Global Sales and Marketing, commented: “Historically, North America has always been one of Swan Hellenic's most enthusiastic markets, so we are delighted to welcome such an experienced team to support the high standards of service that our heritage demands.”.
Tom Russell, GM Swan Hellenic North America, observed: “It is a privilege for me and my incredible new team to bring the iconic Swan Hellenic to North America. We are eager to introduce cruise lovers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico to the unique exploration, cultural, and creative possibilities of cultural expedition cruises.”.
