In response to strong demand for its World Cruise itineraries, Viking has announced its new 138-day Viking World Cruise 2022-2023 itinerary, visiting 28 countries and 58 ports with overnight stays in 11 cities. Departing December 22, 2022, from Fort Lauderdale, passengers will sail on the company’s newest ocean-going ship, the 930-passenger Viking Neptune, which will join the fleet in late 2022.
Passengers on the Viking World Cruise will embark in Florida and travel to Central America before crossing the Panama Canal and sailing along the west coast of North America. The cruise line also offers a shorter, 121-day itinerary, the “Viking World Journeys,” which allows passengers to join the Viking Neptune in Los Angeles and cross the Pacific Ocean, stopping in Hawaii, Australia, and New Zealand, before exploring ports of call in Asia and the Middle East. Finally, the ship will travel through the Mediterranean and conclude its itinerary in London.

The new Viking World Cruise itinerary visits dozens of the world’s most iconic cities, along with lesser-known destinations, on a continuous journey. Overnight stays in 11 ports, including Sydney, Haifa, and Istanbul, and double overnight stays in Auckland, Bali, Ho Chi Minh City, Yangon, and Mumbai allow guests to delve deeper into the destinations. During their time on board, Viking offers cultural enrichment through lectures and onboard entertainment – such as the Viking Resident Historian program, which provides guests with high-level historical and cultural insights specific to their voyage. Guests will immerse themselves in the world’s rich cultures through included excursions that provide unparalleled insight into daily life, as well as privileged access visits to cultural institutions. Highlights of the new 2022-2023 Viking World Cruise itinerary include Kauai (Nawiliwili), Hawaii; Sydney, Australia; Singapore; Mumbai, India; Istanbul, Turkey; and London (Greenwich), England.
The Viking Neptune, with 47,800 tons and 465 cabins to accommodate 930 passengers, is the ninth ship to join Viking's award-winning fleet. Highlights include:
- Five cabin categories, all with private verandas, expansive views and top-quality amenities including king-size beds with luxurious linens, generously proportioned closets, large interactive flat-screen LCD TVs with on-demand movies, free Wi-Fi and bathrooms with large showers, Freyja bath products and heated floors.
- 14 Explorer Suites, with two bedrooms, with views from spacious private balconies.
- In addition to the main pool with a retractable roof that allows swimming in any season, the boats have an infinity pool at the stern.
- LivNordic Spa: Following Viking's Nordic heritage, the onboard spa is designed with the Scandinavian wellness philosophy, from the centuries-old sauna tradition to a Snow Grotto where snowflakes gently fall from the ceiling.

The two new Viking World Cruise itineraries include international business class flights, ship transfers, gratuities and onboard service charges, visas, the Silver Spirits beverage package, and complimentary luggage forwarding services for embarkation. Guests who book by February 28, 2021, will receive an additional shore excursion credit for any optional shore program and an onboard credit available for optional excursions, spa services, onboard shopping, and beverages. Viking Explorer Society members who book either of these two itineraries by February 28, 2021, will receive an additional onboard credit per person.
