Saga Cruises recently announced its decision to extend its suspension of cruises as a result of the second wave of COVID-19 and the fact that most countries in the world are not accepting cruise ships.

Since then, restrictions have sadly increased, so the company has been forced to further review the planned return-to-service dates, as the impact of COVID-19 indicates that a February cruise on board the Spirit of Adventure, or a March cruise on the Spirit of Discovery, is unlikely.
Therefore, after careful consideration, the company has made the very difficult decision to postpone the return to service of the Spirit of Discovery until April 2021 and reschedule the inaugural cruise of the Spirit of Adventure, confirming that it will now set sail for the first time on May 4, 2021.
Both booked customers and travel agencies have been notified and will receive further options and information at a later date. The safety and well-being of passengers and crew are top priorities for Saga Cruises, and they will continue to review their protocols to ensure a safe environment for everyone as they resume operations, looking forward to welcoming passengers back at the appropriate time.
