Aris Batsoulis will become the new president of MedCruise in mid-October 2020. Since 2017, Batsoulis has served as SVP of MedCruise, representing the Port of Corfu, Greece. The announcement follows the decision of outgoing president Airam Díaz to leave his position as Commercial Director of the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Following his appointment, Aris Batsoulis said: “It is a great honor to assume the presidency of MedCruise, the world’s largest cruise port association. I would like to express my gratitude to Airam for his outstanding work during his tenure and wish him every success in his new role. I am committed to and look forward to working alongside the members of the MedCruise Council and the Secretariat to address the needs of ports and partners and to collaborate with all stakeholders in the cruise industry to achieve responsible and sustainable growth. #PortsTogether and #WorkTogether are more relevant today than ever before.”.

Aris Batsoulis is a mechanical engineer with a master's degree in science. Since 2007, he has been Head of the Cruise Department, Port Facility Security Officer (since 2003), and for the last ten years, Director of Development at the Corfu Port Authority SA.
