Celestyal Cruises, the leading Greek cruise operator with cruises around the Greek islands and the Mediterranean, has announced the addition of the Costa NeoRomantica, from Costa Cruises, to its fleet.
Built in 1993 and renovated in 2012, the ship can accommodate 1,800 passengers in 789 cabins, 132 of which have balconies, as well as a variety of entertainment spaces, restaurants, bars and lounges, two swimming pools, a gym and a panoramic spa.
Celestyal Cruises CEO Chris Theophilides commented: “While Covid-19 has forced us to temporarily pause our operations, it is important that we look to the future with optimism and continue to deliver on our strategic plan to grow the company and enhance the award-winning Celestyal experience through investment. I am delighted to welcome this midsize cruise ship to our fleet, which fits perfectly into our business model following its significant refurbishment in 2012. Details regarding the delivery and operation of the new ship will be announced at a later date. Celestyal Cruises' existing 2021 and 2022 itineraries, which were recently launched, will remain unchanged.
