Princess Cruises announces changes to its Alaska and Europe deployment for summer 2021 with the Majestic Princess positioning itself on the US West Coast and sailing its inaugural season in Alaska while the Regal Princess will return to Europe.
In 2021, guests will be able to enjoy the Majestic Princess in Alaska for the first time. It will be stationed in Alaska, replacing the Regal Princess and operating all of the Regal Princess's previously scheduled sailings from Seattle via the Inside Passage from May through September, with the exception of the Regal Princess's five-day Alaska cruise scheduled to depart on May 4, 2021, which will be canceled.
The Regal Princess will sail from Southampton, England, replacing the Grand Princess for summer 2021. The Regal Princess will sail 17 sailings from Southampton to the Mediterranean, Norway, Scandinavia, Iceland, and other popular European destinations. As a result of this change, the scheduled transatlantic crossing and two seven-day Grand Princess cruises in Europe will be cancelled.
The Grand Princess will be based on the West Coast of the United States for a new summer season in Mexico and the California coast, departing from Los Angeles with itineraries to be announced later this summer. Guests with reservations on the Regal Princess Alaska and Grand Princess Europe will have their reservations automatically transferred from the Regal Princess to the Majestic Princess in Alaska, and from the Grand Princess to the Regal Princess in Europe, and will receive a new booking confirmation.
