Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the opening of more than a year's worth of bucket-list itineraries from 2021 to 2023, with trips to more than 20 destinations across seven continents.
Among the new routes, the following stand out:
- The Norwegian Star's first voyage to Antarctica begins in 2021, sailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina, for 14 days, including five ports of call in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and the Falkland Islands, including a majestic sail past Deception Island and Elephant Island / Cape Lookout.
- The Norwegian Star sailed through South America in March 2022, becoming the first fleet to visit Fortaleza and Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, with a 15-day itinerary departing from Rio de Janeiro.
- Norwegian Star departures on June 14 and 25, 2022 from Northern Europe, making its debut in Greenland, with stops in Nuuk, Qaqortoq and Nanortalik, during two consecutive 10 and 11-day trips from Reykjavik, Iceland.
- Twelve-day voyages on the Norwegian Jade will depart from December 2021 through January 2022, marking a historic milestone for Norwegian Cruise Line as the first ship to offer round-trip cruises from Cape Town, South Africa. The voyages will include visits to Luderitz and Walvis Bay, Namibia; Durban, South Africa; and overnight stops in Cape Town and Richards Bay, also in South Africa.
- The Norwegian Sun's November 2021 voyage marks its debut in Asia, making it the first ship in the fleet to visit the exotic destinations of Nagoya, Beppu, and Himeji in Japan; Manila and Coron in the Philippines; Kota Kinabalu and Melaka in Malaysia; and Muara, Brunei, and Kampot in Cambodia

That’s why we want to use this time to provide our travelers with the best itineraries. We will be sailing to more than 20 exciting new destinations, including Antarctica, Greenland, and South Africa, while also sailing to the more than 300 places our guests have always loved. This gives our guests more time to plan their much-anticipated vacations, as well as extraordinary new ports of call. We can’t wait to see them and share these incredible experiences with them,” he emphasized.
