The Covid-19 coronavirus has plunged Europe into a critical situation more akin to a world war than a pandemic. The tourism industry was the first to collapse, and with it, cruise ships, forced to halt due to the deluge of border closures and operational limitations. The subsequent paralysis of trade poses an extreme risk to the global economy, and although the cruise industry is eager to make a strong comeback, it remains to be seen how consumers' wallets will fare after this crisis.
All cruise lines have relaxed their cancellation policies so that customers can wait to see what the travel conditions are at the time of their embarkation and decide what to do.

- Holland America Line: Summer season cancelled
