For the 2020 season, AmaWaterways offers three new tours on the Main, Rhine, Moselle and Danube rivers, three cruises to discover the heart of Europe on their exclusive riverboats, and enjoy an unforgettable journey while the extraordinary AmaWaterways crew turns every mile of this crossing into the most precious memory.
To celebrate the launch of these new itineraries, AmaWaterways, through its representative in Spain, StarClass, is offering exclusive benefits on selected departures for bookings made before February 29, 2020.
Treasures of the Main and Rhine – Departing from Nuremberg, this new 7-day AmaWaterways cruise offers a journey to discover wonderful cities such as Nuremberg, Würzum, Wesrheim, Rüdesheim, and Cologne. Guests can also enjoy a variety of activities at each port of call, including German smoked beer tastings and bike tours of Bamberg, among many others. The cruise concludes in Amsterdam with a cruise along its famous canals.
This cruise has departures from May 14th to September 17th, but the August 6th departure is particularly noteworthy as it will be a wine-themed cruise, meaning extraordinary activities will be carried out around the art of oenology.
Rhine and Moselle Vineyards – Amsterdam is the starting city for this cruise that ends in Luxembourg (or vice versa). During 7 nights, you will visit extraordinary cities such as Cologne, Mainz, and Bernkastel, and guests can choose from a multitude of excursions, including a walking tour of the Holy City and a visit to Cologne Cathedral, among others.
This Rhine and Moselle Vineyards cruise has several departures from April to October, but the first on April 2nd and the last on October 14th will be special wine-themed cruises.
AmaMagna on the Danube – This 7-day Danube River cruise takes you through idyllic cities and towns, including Budapest (the embarkation port), Bratislava, Vienna, Krems, Linz, and Vishofen, where the cruise concludes. These destinations offer travelers a glimpse into the region's imperial past, with the opportunity for fascinating tours and excursions. Examples include: the "Queen of the Danube" tour in Budapest; a walking tour of the "Coronation City" in Bratislava; a scenic cruise through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Wachau Valley in Spitz; a full-day excursion to Salzburg; or an exclusive Oktoberfest celebration in Linz. Departures for this cruise begin on March 15th and end on December 27th, with this being a special cruise that includes a New Year's Eve celebration.
These tours will take place aboard the AmaDante and the new 156-passenger AmaSiena, which will debut in 2020 and offers more space for guests to relax in its sunny Main Lounge, where delicious tapas will be served throughout the day. For the more active, there is a walking deck, a swim-up bar, and a fitness center, as well as complimentary bicycles.
AmaWaterways ships all feature balcony staterooms, most with their own exclusive double balcony. The renowned gastronomic society La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs offers exceptional cuisine throughout the fleet, including exclusive restaurants such as The Chef's Table, which provides a truly unique culinary experience at no extra charge. This tasting menu pairs selected local red and white wines from Europe's famous wine regions, with new selections each evening of the cruise. Sparkling wine and freshly squeezed juices are also available at breakfast, a set menu is served at lunch, and delicious tapas and snacks are offered in the main lounge between meals. All meals on board are included, as well as unlimited wine and beer with lunch and dinner.
