From July 16, 2019, guests can book their suites aboard Silversea's newest ship, the Silver Origin, which has been designed with the Galapagos Islands and will be the most elegant ship to sail the region when it sets sail in 2020.Featuring suites for 100 guests, the Silver Origin will embark on its maiden voyage in July 2020, showcasing the authentic beauty of the Galapagos by connecting guests with the destination through immersive experiences.

Silversea's new, ultra-luxurious ship will continue the legacy of the award-winning Silver Galapagos, which is retiring, with two seven-night itineraries between Baltra and San Cristóbal, and will offer different experiences for guests, as follows:
From Baltra to San Cristobal
Aboard the Silver Origin, on the northernmost itinerary, guests will enjoy a circumnavigation of Daphne Major Island and exploration of: Darwin Bay and Prince Philip Steps on Genovesa; Galapaguera Cerro Colorado and Punta Pitt on San Cristóbal; Gardner Bay and Punta Suárez on Hispaniola; El Edén, the Charles Darwin Research Station, and Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz; as well as Sullivan Bay, North Seymour, Rábida, and South Plaza. Highlights of this seven-day itinerary include the chance to witness captivating wildlife in its natural habitats, including abundant marine life through various snorkeling opportunities near schools of tropical fish, turtles, and impressive whitetip reef sharks; and the opportunity to explore unusual geological features, including lava flows in Sullivan Bay, among other experiences.
From San Cristobal to Baltra
Silversea's western itinerary encompasses highlights such as Dragon Hill and Las Bachas Beach on Santa Cruz Island, and a circumnavigation of Kicker Rock. The itinerary also includes Punta Vicente Roca, Tagus Cove, and Elizabeth Bay on Isabela Island; Post Office Bay, Champion Islet, and Cormorant Point on Floreana Island; Los Gemelos, the Charles Darwin Research Station, and Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island; Espumilla Beach on Santiago Island (weather permitting); Punta Espinoza on Fernandina Island; and Bartolomé Island. Guests traveling west with Silversea will witness magnificent geological features such as Kicker Rock and Pinnacle Rock; enjoy a Zodiac trip to Buccaneer's Cove, which once provided refuge for pirates; and several other unforgettable experiences.
On both itineraries, Silver Origin guests will explore Darwin’s “Laboratory of Evolution,” where they can observe giant tortoises, colorful marine iguanas, comical blue-footed boobies, energetic sea lion pups, flightless cormorants, Galapagos hawks, and Galapagos penguins. Expert local naturalists of the highest caliber (one for every ten guests, providing the highest guide-to-guest ratio in the Galapagos) will share their knowledge on complimentary excursions. A fleet of eight Zodiac boats—the largest per guest in the region—and kayaks will enhance the adventure of the water excursions.
Two longer itineraries are scheduled for the 2020 Christmas holiday season: starting December 19, 2020, guests will be able to travel much more deeply to their destination on an 11-day trip from San Cristóbal to Baltra, while a 12-day New Year's cruise will depart from Baltra on December 29, 2020, concluding in San Cristóbal.

The elegant suites on the Silver Origin, with butler service and meticulously designed for superlative comfort, are among the most spacious on any Galapagos cruise ship. Each suite features a private terrace or horizon offering breathtaking views of the island's landscape. Amenities include a minibar stocked with local snacks and a wide selection of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, an in-room freshwater purification system, a flat-screen TV, pillows, eco-friendly bath amenities, a bathrobe and slippers, 24-hour room service, complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi, and complimentary expedition gear including a waterproof backpack and a premium metal water bottle.
The Silver Origin 's eight suite categories include an Owner's Suite located at the stern of the ship on Deck 6, offering unparalleled panoramic views. Situated directly below on Deck 5 are the ship's Grand Suite and Royal Suite, which can be connected to create a suite ideal for families and friends traveling together. Completing the more spacious accommodation options are two Silver Suites, located at the bow of Deck 5, each of which can be connected to an adjacent Classic Veranda Suite—an ideal solution for families. All of these premium suites feature a large veranda with comfortable outdoor furniture and floor-to-ceiling glass doors. Silversea's first suites—the Owner's, Grand, and Royal—offer a whirlpool tub with ocean views and a separate shower, accessible from the veranda (except in the Grand Suite). The whirlpool tub and separate shower in the Silver Suites offer exterior views and are accessible from the veranda.
The four remaining suite categories include one Medallion Suite, seven Deluxe Veranda Suites, and sixteen Superior Veranda Suites located on Deck 6. These suites are most notable for their innovative Horizon, which transforms into an interior space with a floor-to-ceiling window. On Deck 5, there are also twenty-two Classic Veranda Suites, each with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open onto the veranda. These suites also offer accommodation for third guests, as well as several connecting suites.
With environmental responsibility always in mind , the Silver Origin will feature a dynamic positioning system , which will be used when the ship is in a delicate marine ecosystem to prevent damage from the anchor . In addition, guests will receive a reusable metal bottle that will utilize the in-suite freshwater purification system, converting seawater into drinking water and drastically reducing plastic use on board. The ship will also meet the highest energy efficiency standards in its segment.
