The Port of Motril is experiencing an "exceptional" event this Friday with the simultaneous presence of three cruise ships, two of them among the most spectacular vessels sailing the seas. These are the Royal Clipper and the Sea Cloud II, joined by the Seadream I, which already visited Motril on Wednesday.
Undoubtedly, the ship that always generates the most excitement is the Royal Clipper, considered the world's largest five-masted sailing vessel, which will be docked at the Costa pier from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. This cruise ship was already recognized in April 2017 with the placement of a plaque highlighting the commitment of Star Clipper Monaco, the ship's owner, to the port. Tomorrow's call will be the forty-sixth for the shipping company at the Granada harbor and the Royal Clipper's fifteenth.
Its nearly 200 passengers, of whom more than 120 will be able to visit Motril on shuttle buses, have paid an average of 9,500 euros to be able to make a journey that began on the Caribbean island of Barbados 28 days ago.
Among the unique features that make the Royal Clipper stand out are the 42 sails it displays while sailing, its continued Guinness World Record for the largest five-masted ship in the world, and its platform that sits at sea level so that passengers can directly access the water for water sports or diving.
The Royal Clipper's presence will be complemented by the arrival of the Sea Cloud II at the Dique pier, opposite Costa. Smaller, but equally glamorous, the Sea Cloud II features fine wood and marble finishes in its cabins and bathrooms. These details reflect the average price of €17,000 paid by its passengers. The Seadream II, the third cruise ship scheduled to arrive tomorrow, will be docked at the Poniente pier from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Port of Motril, in collaboration with the Granada Provincial Council, wants to take advantage of the opportunity to offer cruise passengers a taste of the region, in addition to the memorable images they will all cherish. To that end, the "Sabor Granada" (Taste of Granada) brand, promoted by the provincial institution, will provide cruise passengers with a selection of Granada's agricultural and food products.
Tomorrow's three cruises conclude the seven announced stops for April, to be continued on May 3 with the Seadream II.
