Ancona, Italy, March 16, 2018 – Construction of the ship that will raise the bar for all-inclusive luxury has begun. On March 15, 2018, Regent Seven Seas Cruises President and CEO Jason Montague, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Executive Vice President of Fleet Operations Robin Lindsay, Regent Vice President of Hotel Operations Franco Semeraro, and Fincantieri Ancona Shipyard Director Giovanni Stecconi pressed the button to begin cutting the first steel plate of the Seven Seas Splendor. The new 750-guest ship will join the Regent fleet in early 2020, in pursuit of the ultimate goal: perfection.

The inaugural season for the ship, which will feature only balcony suites, will go on sale this spring. The Seven Seas Splendor will join Regent's world-class fleet of the most luxurious ships, which includes the Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Voyager, Seven Seas Mariner, and Seven Seas Navigator.
