Departing from Fort Lauderdale on January 6, 2020, the Silver Whisper will be the first ship to visit all seven continents on a round-the-world cruise, including the remote and scenic landscape of Antarctica.
Unique in the richness and scope of its itinerary, World Cruise 2020 will visit 62 ports in 32 countries, including extended stays and overnight stays in many of the world's most fascinating capital cities and spectacular natural wonders, each selected for its authentic beauty. For the first time in cruising history, World Cruise 2020 will sail through the North and South Fjords, allowing travel enthusiasts to witness and explore some of the world's most captivating natural wonders. In total, there will be 40 new destinations from the 2018 and 2019 Silversea World Cruise itineraries, but the most prominent ports of call from recent years will return for 2020. From Florida, the Silver Whisper will head southeast, passing through the Caribbean and along the northern coast of South America, stopping at a selection of captivating destinations. Skirting Cabo Branco, the Silver Whisper will set course for the Antarctic Peninsula, where guests can enjoy guided Zodiac tours. Throughout the voyage, Silversea's expedition team will be on hand to share their knowledge and expertise, allowing guests to experience the destinations in depth. From Antarctica, the 2020 World Cruise will take visitors around Cape Horn, through the Chilean Fjords, and into French Polynesia, where a string of enchanting islands await, including Papeete, Bora Bora, and Vanuatu. Sydney, Melbourne, and the southern coast of Australia precede Bali, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Mumbai, among others. The World Cruise will then sail between Mumbai and Rome, cruising the waters of the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, stopping at several locations of immense beauty. After sailing along the coasts of France, Spain, and Portugal, the ship will head to Dublin, from where it will visit the Norwegian fjords, before completing its grand finale in Northern Europe. Silversea's groundbreaking World Cruise 2020 will conclude in Amsterdam on May 25.
