Madrid, February 23, 2018– Costa Cruises presented its 2018 summer program yesterday in Valladolid. During the event, the company announced its main new feature in Castile and León: the inauguration of direct flights from Valladolid airport to the city of Rostock (Germany) to connect with the “Land of the Vikings” itinerary aboard the Costa Favolosa.
The two new connections will bring Castile and León closer to one of the company's most fascinating itineraries, "The Land of the Vikings." Aboard the Costa Favolosa, passengers will be able to visit Northern Europe and the Norwegian fjords, starting in Warnemünde and stopping in cities such as Aarhus (Denmark), Kristiansand (Norway), Bergen (Norway), Hellesylt (Norway), Geiranger (Norway), and Copenhagen.
The launch of the air route from Valladolid to the Costa Favolosa 's embarkation port is part of the company's strategy to bring embarkation ports closer to all its customers and thus offer the best travel experience. The company has also introduced the "Baggage in Cabin" service, allowing passengers departing from Valladolid and bound for Rostock to leave their luggage at the airport check-in and find it waiting in their assigned cabin on the Costa Favolosa.

During the event, Costa Cruises also announced the launch of a new train connection, thanks to a partnership with RENFE, linking Valladolid and Burgos with Barcelona and Tarragona. This will bring passengers from the region closer to embarking on the Costa Diadema and Costa Victoria. They are also working to explore the possibility of connecting this area with Terminal 4 at Madrid Airport to facilitate access to flights departing for other cruises.
