Southampton, February 9, 2018 – Regent Seven Seas Cruises confirmed the upcoming complete refurbishment of the Seven Seas Mariner, the first all-balcony suite cruise ship.
After a 20-day dry dock at the Chantier Naval de Marseille, the Seven Seas Mariner will emerge with dramatic new culinary experiences, elegantly designed new suites, and completely renovated modern public spaces. Following its refurbishment, it will be immediately deployed to the Pacific Northwest to take passengers on an immersive luxury Alaskan cruise.

The newly refurbished Seven Seas Mariner will sail the Last Frontier on 15 unforgettable 7, 10, and 11-night itineraries, with alternating departures from Vancouver and Seward. With an average of 44 complimentary and unlimited shore excursions included in the cruise fare, the Seven Seas Mariner experience will be the most comprehensive and best value.
Modern, renovated spaces
The pool deck will undergo a major redesign, featuring a new open layout and teak decking throughout. The centerpiece will be a mosaic-tiled pool with a shallow end for cooling off. Guests will enjoy more lunch options, including steaks, ribs, salmon, chicken, and sausages, freshly cooked on a new infrared barbecue and at new buffet bars by the poolside grill.
The ship's atrium, corridors, and guest areas will receive new carpeting, artwork, furniture, and décor. Passengers will feel at ease in the new, luxurious reception area, the Coffee Connection, the Card Room, the boutiques, and the Casino—all completely renovated. A charming library will exude comfort with dark wood shelving contrasted by cream-toned furniture, crowned by a silver chandelier. The Connoisseur Club smoking lounge will have a fresh new look with a vibrant cobalt and silver color scheme. Additionally, the flooring on Deck 6 Promenade will be replaced with new teak.
Offering a wide array of revitalizing and restorative rituals for guests of the Seven Seas Mariner, the Canyon Ranch SpaClub will receive a fresh new look, featuring river stone tiles and light wood accents in the treatment rooms. The adjacent fitness center will also boast new, state-of-the-art machines and equipment to keep guests healthy and active during their vacation at sea.
New elegant cabins
Passengers aboard Seven Seas Mariner will settle into elegantly appointed new suites, featuring the impressive Regent Elite Slumber bed with a new leather headboard, and enjoy unparalleled views of the sea and surrounding landscape from their balcony or sitting area, furnished with a comfortable sofa, coffee table, and new artistic décor. All suites include a dressing room and spacious marble-tiled bathrooms with L'Occitane amenities.
New and dramatic culinary experiences
Compass Rose's main restaurant will have a sophisticated new ambiance, with a dramatic atmosphere created by new crystal chandeliers, recessed ceiling lights, elegant leather chairs, and cobalt blue draperies that accentuate the large windows.
A new restaurant will be added during the ship's refurbishment, featuring a French-style menu. Already available and popular aboard Seven Sea Explorer, Chartreuse offers an innovative French menu complemented by new furnishings, tableware, flooring, ceilings, and decorative elements that together evoke an elegant Parisian restaurant. Additionally, the popular Prime 7 steakhouse will undergo a renovation and debut with a new color scheme.
