Madrid, October 24, 2017 - Pullmantur Cruises - the only shipping company on the market offering a 100% Spanish product - was one of the 47 companies that joined the 11th edition of the Corporate, organized by International Cooperation NGO and Atresmedia.
Thus, a team of 10 volunteers from the shipping company shared the day with about thirty children with and without disabilities as well as their families at the facilities of the Riendamiga Association – specializing in therapeutic riding – in the vicinity of Venta la Rubia (Alcorcón).
During the visit, Pullmantur Cruises volunteers learned about the benefits that horses and their environment can have on children, as well as enjoying different activities related to ponies and their care with schoolchildren and their families, including a drawing workshop and face painting.
In short, very enriching activities that encourage exchange, create cohesion, generate a sense of group and make their day unforgettable.
The President & CEO of Pullmantur Cruises, Richard J. Vogel, points out that “I am proud of our professionals, who have dedicated half of their weekend to doing their bit and have been involved in these types of actions aimed at supporting the integration of different groups at risk of social exclusion.”
At the end of the charity activity, the volunteers from all the participating companies in Madrid shared a closing meal and attended a session given by Professor Carlos Andreu.
Corporate Solidarity Day
This year's Corporate Solidarity Day saw the participation of over a thousand volunteers from 47 companies across Spain. The event was held simultaneously in Madrid, A Coruña, Barcelona, Las Palmas, Seville, Tenerife, Valencia, Valladolid, Vigo, and Zaragoza.

Since the creation of this program in mid-2016 and up to now, Pullmantur Cruises volunteers have organized the first 'Solidarity April Fair' within their offices; participated in the various Food Bank campaigns; collaborated with the Amman Soup Kitchen and organized different solidarity initiatives in favor of the AECC and its fight against breast cancer and the Juegaterapia Association, in which they managed to donate more than 10,000 euros.
