Tomeu Bennasar, formerly Managing Director of Logitravel.com, will now serve as Corporate CEO, where he will be responsible for the strategic development of new businesses. Ovidio Andrés, President of the Logitravel Group, stated, “No one better embodies the values of our Group than Tomeu; no one is better suited to represent us and guide our direction for the coming years.”
Tomeu concludes, “I’ve been the CEO of Logitravel.com for eight years, and I’m really looking forward to a change. Those who replace me will inherit a legacy and I’m sure they’ll take our OTA to the next level. New people, new energy, new ideas… turnover is always good. Plus, they’ll be people from within the company, so there won’t be any major changes in direction.”.
Regarding how he will guide his management of the Logitravel Group, Tomeu states, "The world is moving faster and faster, it is becoming more and more complex, this demands shared projects, my goal is for our Group to be present in a greater number of projects in collaboration with other companies.".
Ovidio Andrés, for his part, states that he prefers working behind the scenes: “I think I have the soul of a consultant and I want to have more time for innovation projects. I think Tomeu handles external relationships and strategy much better than I do.”.
Joan Balaguer, the new CEO of Logitravel.com. The current Director of the Cruise Division, Joan Balaguer, takes over from Tomeu at the helm of the .com website. Joan has been with the Group since its inception, forming part of the team that launched Logitravel and leading the cruise division. His excellent work has led to the company becoming a leader in online cruise distribution across Europe. “This is a new challenge in my professional career that I am very excited about. I hope to continue developing logitravel.com and unlocking its full potential,” says Joan. President Ovidio Andrés adds, “No one is better suited than Joan to lead and continue developing our .com website, focusing on the vacation product that sets us apart and defines our vision, and developing our international expansion.”
