MSC Cruises will continue its commitment to the port of Valencia during 2017, from where it will offer, aboard the MSC Splendida, a weekly departure from May to October and five ships calling at the city for a total of 34 planned calls throughout the year.
In 2017, MSC Cruises estimates that 142,098 people will visit Valencia aboard its ships. The economic impact of these passengers on the city is estimated at €7,673,292, according to average passenger spending statistics compiled by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA). On each itinerary, passengers will be able to enjoy Valencia for approximately eight hours and can choose between taking an excursion or exploring the city independently.
Greater commitment to the Valencian capital
Since 2005, the year in which the company began operating in the port of Valencia, MSC Cruises has significantly strengthened its presence, since initially it had 3 calls and a transit of 2,430 passengers compared to the 34 calls that they will have during 2017.
