Informing and raising funds are the main objectives that have driven Pullmantur Cruises to organize its first charity makeup market, whose proceeds will go entirely to the Spanish Association Against Breast Cancer (AECC).
This initiative, which took place yesterday and today at the company's headquarters in Madrid, was designed and developed—under the leadership of the Human Resources Department—by 20 Pullmantur Cruises employees, members of its Volunteer Club. It is part of the company's annual Corporate Social Responsibility plan, "Driven by You," where the cruise line combines its two greatest passions: the sea and commitment.
Thus, the approximately 300 employees of Pullmantur Cruises in Madrid can choose from 2,000 beauty items (lipsticks, foundations, eyeshadows, etc.), which are sold on board their ships, and which have been donated for this charitable action.
During these two days, the Pullmantur Cruises team is accompanied by volunteers from the AECC, who have a stand where they offer the shipping company's employees information about this disease - and especially about breast cancer - and its prevention.
Richard J. Vogel, President & CEO of Pullmantur Cruises, says that this initiative is “very special for us” as it represents “our active collaboration with the AECC, an organization that does excellent work year after year.”.
