MSC Cruises has signed an agreement with the University Clinic of Navarra to sponsor the III Golf Trophy “Children against Cancer”, whose benefits will go to this solidarity program, promoted by the University Clinic of Navarra, to collaborate with the families of sick children who need specific treatments and research childhood cancer.
This year's event will take place on October 23rd at Ulzama Golf Club, Gorraiz Golf Club, and Zuasti Golf Club. Golf enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy their favorite sport while actively supporting the cause.
“Children Against Cancer” is an initiative of the University Clinic of Navarra, created in 1982 with a dual objective: to help families with few resources to access the treatments they need and to investigate new solutions for a quarter of childhood cancer cases for which there is still no therapeutic alternative.
Luigi Surace, Marketing Director of MSC Cruises, stated: “We support the efforts of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra to continue their valuable work because we are aware that research is the only way to improve the conditions of people affected by cancer, especially if they are children.”
For her part, Marta Lipúzcoa, organizer of the event and Director of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, added: “The work carried out by the University would be impossible without the sum of the efforts made both individually and through the social commitment of the entities involved.”
