The Rhapsody of the Seas arrived at the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, making its maiden voyage from Salvador de Bahia. It carried two thousand Brazilian cruise passengers and eight hundred crew members. This will be the only stop the ship, a sister ship to giants like the Vision, Legend, and Splendour of the Seas, will make in the Canary Islands.
The stopover in Tenerife is part of a fourteen-night itinerary that began in the port of Santos, Brazil, and will conclude in Barcelona.
Owned by Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, it sails under the flag of Grand Bahamas displacing 78,491 gross registered tons.

The “Rhapsody of the Seas” was built in 1997 at the Chantiers de L'Atlantique shipyards. It displaces 78,500 gross registered tons and sails under the flag of Grand Bahamas.
