The Port Authority of Ceuta has confirmed the arrival of fifteen cruise ships for this year's season, which would significantly increase the number achieved in recent years.
According to port sources speaking to Efe, the president of the Ceuta port, José Francisco Torrado, has highlighted that this year the transit of this type of vessel will be improved, accompanied by improvement works on the docking pier.
Ceuta closed last year with eight cruise ship calls and on April 1st managed to open the current season with the arrival of a ship.
Ceuta experienced its cruise boom in 2008 with 25 calls after 20 calls in 2007, going to 10 calls in 2009, 8 in 2010, 6 in 2011, another 7 calls in 2012 until reaching four and three in the last two years.
