The Port of Cádiz will promote all its traffic nationally and internationally in 2016

The Port Authority will be present at fairs and events related to cruises, container traffic, roro, logistics and fishing.

The Commercial Action Plan designed by the Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz (APBC) for 2016 has the fundamental objective of promoting both the port and its clients nationally and internationally through direct and reverse trade missions.

With this objective and without losing sight of the strategic commitment to diversifying traffic, the APBC will be present throughout this year at fairs and events related to fishing, cruises, roro traffic, containers and logistics.

In total, ten trade missions that the APBC undertakes, either alone or in collaboration with Gades-Port, the Association for the promotion of the Port of the Bay of Cadiz; SunCruise Andalucía, the Association for the promotion of cruise tourism in the region, or State Ports.

The first meeting took place this week at Fitur, where the Port of Cadiz was present to support the promotion of the province as a destination, as well as taking the opportunity to hold a national meeting with the commercial managers of all state ports to define joint participation under the coordination of State Ports in certain events.

In March, from the 14th to the 16th, the APBC will participate for the 21st consecutive edition through Suncruise Andalucía and Turismo Andaluz in Seatrade Cruise Shipping Miami, considered the largest and most important trade fair in the sector internationally.

Through Gades-Port, by mid-year, work is underway to organize a reverse trade mission with the Canary Islands, with the aim of boosting ro-ro traffic with the Islands.

Later in the year, from June 14 to 16, the Port plans to attend TOC Europe 2016 in Hamburg, an international conference event on containers and terminals, where future global market trends are discussed.

After the summer, from September 21 to 23, the APBC will once again promote itself as a cruise destination at Seatrade MED, which this time is being held in Tenerife, where it is attending with SunCruise Andalucía and Turismo Andaluz.

October brings another double event, both in collaboration with Gades-Port. From the 4th to the 6th, Conxemar, the fishing trade fair, takes place in Vigo, and from the 5th to the 7th, Fruit Attraction, the national fruit and vegetable logistics trade fair for perishable goods, is held in Madrid.

In November, the Port of Cádiz will once again participate in the International Cruise Summit , the date of which is yet to be determined. Later that month, from the 15th to the 17th, they also plan to attend Intermodal Europein Rotterdam, a trade fair specializing in intermodal logistics.

The commercial action plan will be completed by participation in Sifel Moroc, which takes place in Agadir in December, and is focused on the fruit and vegetable sector.
