On July 9th, local authorities, representatives from the Menorca Island Council, port authorities, and Trasmediterranea passenger and cargo clients visited the Adriatico ferry in the port of Mahón . The company's CEO, Mario Quero, was also present. The visit coincided with the presentation, by the President of the Balearic Islands Port Authority, Alberto Pons, of the new temporary maritime station in Mahónatthe Cós Nou dock, where Trasmediterranea's operations were relocated last May.
Trasmediterranea's CEO, Mario Quero, highlighted the increased passenger capacity on the Barcelona-Mahón routeofferedby the Adriatico ferry, which can now accommodate 1,300 passengers and 280 vehicles. Each year, 100,000 people and 30,000 cars travel on this route, with 80% of these passengers traveling during the summer months, from June to September.
The Adriatico ship reinforces its departures from Barcelona and Mahón with a daily connectionuntilmid-September and offers a wide variety of accommodation and onboard dining options, in addition to having onboard entertainers during these months.
