Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the appointment of Jesús Ramirez Medina as the company's fourth Business Development Manager in Spain. Ramirez will be responsible for the Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, Valencia, La Rioja, and Basque Country regions and will work closely with Sonia López Corrales, Senior Business Development Manager; Virginia González Rosado, Business Development Manager; and Gabriele Restivo, Business Development Manager. With this appointment, Norwegian Cruise Line expands its team of Business Development Managers in Spain from three to four, strengthening its presence in this important market for the company.
The newest addition to the Norwegian Cruise Line team in Spain has extensive experience in the country's tourism sector, a key asset for further boosting the company's presence in the Spanish cruise industry. Among the positions he has held in recent years are Director of Sales and Marketing at the five-star Hilton Buenavista Toledo, International MICE Sales Manager at the Doubletree by Hilton La Mola Hotel & Conference Center, and Sales Manager for Spain and the LATAM region at ReviewPro.
“We are delighted to welcome Jesús to our team. With his extensive experience in the tourism industry, he will be a great asset and is sure to play a vital role in the continued growth of our business in this country. This appointment also underscores our commitment to our travel agents, which is reflected in our Partners First philosophy,” says Jürgen Stille, Director of Business Development for Continental Europe.
Ramirez specialized in Italian Philology at the Complutense University of Madrid and subsequently earned a Master's degree in Italian Translation from the Institute of Translation and Modern Languages at the same institution. His academic background, combined with his subsequent experience in the hotel and tour operator sectors, has made him an excellent candidate to join the Norwegian Cruise Line team in Spain.
