The company's cruise ships will offer themed parties around this event during the month of February.
MSC Cruises has "customized" four of its 12 ships so that travelers can celebrate the Chinese New Year in style this month aboard MSC Splendida, MSC Divina, MSC Fantasia and MSC Orchestra, sailing the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and the coast of the Emirates respectively.
In 2015, the first day of the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Goat, falls on February 19th of our Gregorian calendar. MSC Cruises offers travelers the perfect way to celebrate the New Year in style with themed activities, services, and entertainment on five different departure dates: February 13th and 20th (MSC Splendida), February 21st (MSC Divina), March 2nd (MSC Fantasia), and February 14th (MSC Orchestra).
On these cruises, Chinese chefs will create traditional Chinese dishes for the occasion, and casino staff will introduce players to the Chinese favorite card game, baccarat ,which rivals in popularity another ancient game from the Asian giant, mahjong, which MSC Cruises passengers will also be able to discover.
This is the third year that MSC Cruises has organized Chinese New Year themed cruises, which have attracted more travelers each year. While two such cruises were scheduled in 2014, their growing popularity has encouraged MSC Cruises to double its offerings this year: MSC Splendida in the Mediterranean on February 13 and 20; MSC Fantasia, also sailing the Mediterranean, on March 2; MSC Divina in the Caribbean on February 21; and MSC Orchestra along the coast of the Emirates and Oman on February 14.
