The Spanish cruise line is reinforcing its commitment to the Latin American market to consolidate its international growth.
Pullmantur has increased its capacity in Colombia, where it expects to carry over 45,000 passengers in 2015.
Pullmantur will be present at the FITUR 2015 International Tourism Fair in partnership with ProColombia, the agency responsible for promoting international tourism, foreign investment, and exports in Colombia. FITUR will take place this year from January 28 to February 1 at the IFEMA Exhibition Center in Madrid. The cruise line will have an exclusive space at the ProColombia office booth in Hall 3, stand 3C06. With this collaboration, the Spanish cruise line reaffirms its commitment to Colombia, following the warm reception it has received in the country and the extraordinary growth Pullmantur has experienced in the Latin American market in recent years.
According to Jorge Vilches, President and CEO of the Pullmantur Group, “Colombia has become one of the key pillars for Pullmantur in our expansion strategy in Latin America, both in terms of passenger outflow and inflow.” He added, “The port of Cartagena de Indias has become the homeport for the company's operations in the Caribbean region; as proof, this year more than 45,000 Colombian passengers will enjoy the 'Antilles and Southern Caribbean' itinerary, beginning their journey from the Colombian city.”
Pullmantur will present its new Caribbean routes for this season at FITUR. Following the great success of the 'Antilles and Southern Caribbean' itinerary among Colombian passengers, the cruise line has decided to increase the number of seats offered in this market for the 2015 season.
New destinations
In addition, Pullmantur is launching a new 4-night mini-cruise for Colombian passengers seeking a magical getaway at sea. This new itinerary will operate three departures in September 2015 from Cartagena de Indias aboard the Monarch and will include, for the first time, a visit to the unforgettable shores of Puerto Limón, Costa Rica.
And for Colombians looking to explore beyond their borders, Pullmantur will present its most extensive catalog of cruises to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Atlantic, the Baltic, and the Caribbean. Among the highlights are the new 'Costa Maya' and 'Caribe Maya' routes, with 10 departures between June and August and embarkations in Cozumel and Yucatán.
