Events Sector: New campaign by the Port of Cartagena to attract cruise ships

New campaign by the Port of Cartagena to attract cruise ships

During the inauguration of the Seatrade Winter Cruising Forum, the port presented the video for its new campaign, “Winterless,” focused on promoting Cartagena as a winter cruise destination.

The Port of Cartagena has set attracting cruise ship calls during the winter months as one of its key objectives. For this reason, it has launched a campaign highlighting the benefits of the region's climate and the wide range of cultural, commercial, and tourist offerings available year-round.

The new campaign revolves around a central idea: in Cartagena, you can enjoy everything except winter. Therefore, the campaign title, which appears in advertisements and audiovisual materials, is WINTERLESS, expressing the idea that there is no winter.

The campaign video, which lasts just under three minutes, begins by showing images of winter in other cities, with snow, fog, and rain, and encourages viewers to escape “that cold, gray bubble,” offering a destination that is “closer than you think.” From that moment on, the video showcases scenes of Cartagena and other locations in the Region of Murcia, while highlighting the wide range of activities available: excursions, cultural visits, shopping, sports, beaches, and gastronomy, thus giving meaning to the campaign's slogan: “Cartagena, experience everything except Winter.”

During the inauguration of the Seatrade Winter Cruising Forum, the video was screened, presenting it to cruise lines, tour operators, and other professionals in attendance. They all agreed that the campaign perfectly aligns with the spirit of the event, whose main objective is to extend cruise seasons throughout the year, including winter.

The campaign is complemented by advertisements that will appear in specialized magazines, which, as seen in the photograph at the top of this article, maintain the campaign's visual identity and central message.
