It is the second stop of the year, after the Adonia stop, which took place on January 1st.
The Arcadia docked at the Transatlantic Pier at 07.15 today from Southampton (United Kingdom) and at approximately 15.00, it will set course for Ponta Delgada (Portugal).
During its stay in our city, it brought on board a total of 1,980 passengers of 21 different nationalities, mostly British (1,780 pax.), in addition to 838 crew members.
The Port of Vigo received this morning the stop of the cruise ship Arcadia, which brought on board more than 2,700 people, including passengers and crew.
It arrived at 07.15 hours from Southampton (United Kingdom) and at approximately 15.00 hours, it will head towards Ponta Delgada (Portugal).
This is the second arrival in Vigo of a cruise ship so far this year, after the technical stop of the Adonia on January 1st.

The Arcadia is a Vista-class cruise ship, built by Fincantieri at its shipyards in Marghera, Italy. It is the third largest of the seven ships currently in service with P&O Cruises.
The ship officially entered service for the company in April 2005 and was christened by British athlete Kelly Holmes, Olympic champion in the 800 and 1,500 meters at the 2004 Athens Games.
It was originally intended to be a Vista-class ship for Holland America Line, but in 2003 Carnival Corporation transferred it to Cunard Line to become the Queen Victoria. Shortly before its launch, the decision was made to transfer the ship to P&O Cruises. Following refurbishment at Lloyd Werft's shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany, in December 2008, 34 cabins were added, along with similar modifications to the aft superstructure.

The Arcadia offers excellent comfort thanks to its spacious corridors and accessible design. With a maximum capacity of 2,388 passengers and 880 crew members within its 285-meter length and 33-meter beam, P&O Cruises ships are characterized by their British ambiance.
