Carla Salvadó, Head of Marketing and Cruises at the Port of Barcelona, was appointed president of the Mediterranean Ports Association (MedCruise) during the organization's 45th General Assembly, which took place at the Port of Barcelona.
Carla Salvadó thus replaces Stavros Hatzakos, the former president of Medcruise and director of Administration at the Port Authority of Piraeus (Greece). Salvadó previously held the position of Head of Promotion and External Relations at Medcruise.
A graduate in Economics and Business Administration from Pompeu Fabra University and with a diploma in Translation and Interpreting from the University School of Translators and Interpreters at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Carla Salvadó worked for six years as Marketing Director of Odisea 2000 – the company that manages the Maremagnum shopping center. She is currently the Marketing and Cruise Director of the Port of Barcelona, a position she has held since April 2006.
