Seabourn has unveiled its 2029 summer ocean cruise schedule, featuring 166 sailings to more than 180 destinations across the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska, Canada, and New England. Highlights include Seabourn's return to Egypt after more than five years, a new seven-day itinerary through the Gulf of Bothnia between Sweden and Finland, inaugural calls in Northern Europe, and extended overnight stays that will give passengers more time to explore destinations ashore.
Aboard Seabourn Ovation, Seabourn Quest, and Seabourn Encore, the 2029 program combines iconic destinations with smaller ports and less-visited regions accessible to the company's smaller ships. Itineraries are designed to offer more opportunities to explore places beyond the main ports, with a mix of extended stays, overnights, and destination-focused experiences throughout the season.
“Our 2029 ocean cruise schedule offers guests more ways to enjoy meaningful time in the destinations they visit, whether that’s spending the night at the gateway to the pyramids of Egypt, discovering new ports in Northern Europe, or exploring Alaska with our expedition team,” said Crystal Morgan, Seabourn’s senior director of deployment and itinerary planning. “It also reflects what Seabourn does especially well: combining access to smaller ports and less-traveled locations with the personalized service and onboard experience our guests expect.”.
The return to Egypt is the highlight of the Mediterranean season
Between March and November 2029, the Seabourn Ovation's Mediterranean season will offer 21 different itineraries throughout the Western Mediterranean, Italy, the Adriatic, the Aegean, and other regions. One of the most anticipated offerings is the company's return to Egypt. Select cruises aboard the Seabourn Ovation will include an overnight stay in Alexandria, allowing passengers ample time to visit Cairo, the Great Pyramids of Giza, and some of the world's most celebrated ancient treasures.
Among the new themed cruises are Italian Coast & Fireworks Over Corsica and Pyramids & Evening at Ephesus, which offer exclusive access to some of the Mediterranean's most outstanding cultural sites, historical monuments and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
The season will also include visits to exclusive ports and hidden bays that larger ships cannot usually access, including an inaugural stop in Kapsali, on the Greek island of Kythira.
The program will feature the signature, complimentary Seabourn Evening at Ephesus experience, an exclusive private event that allows passengers to access the ancient city outside of regular hours to enjoy a classical music performance among its illuminated ruins.
In select Mediterranean ports, passengers can join Seabourn chefs on land for the Shopping with the Chef experience, which includes visits to local markets and specialty food stores to discover regional ingredients and culinary traditions.
A new route through the Gulf of Bothnia expands the exploration of northern Europe
Between May and September 2029, the Seabourn Quest will sail a series of itineraries with numerous stops, designed to encourage deeper exploration and a closer connection with Northern Europe. Passengers will be able to discover Scandinavia, the Baltic Sea, the British Isles, Northern Norway, Iceland, and Greenland.
One of the season's main attractions will be a new seven-day cruise through the Gulf of Bothnia, between Sweden and Finland, taking Seabourn further north in the Baltic Sea to destinations rarely featured on traditional cruise itineraries. The voyage will include inaugural stops in Härnösand, Kemi, Rauma, and Oulu, allowing passengers to discover less-visited destinations in Sweden and Finland.
The season will also include inaugural stops in Alta and Frøya, while extended overnight stays in Bordeaux, Rouen, Helsinki, Tallinn, Edinburgh and Hamburg will offer more time to explore ashore.
Passengers will also have the opportunity to visit Turku, Finland, in 2029, when the city will celebrate its 900th anniversary. Founded in 1229, Turku is Finland's oldest city and offers a rich blend of Nordic history, culture, and architecture, making this stopover a particularly timely and memorable experience.
Many of the cruises can be combined to create trips of 14, 21, 28 or more days, allowing travelers to explore several regions in a single continuous journey.
Alaskan adventures return aboard the Seabourn Encore
The Seabourn Encore will return to Alaska in 2029 with a series of seven-day cruises between Juneau and Vancouver, from May to September. Ten- and eleven-day itineraries will also be offered, venturing farther north to destinations such as Valdez, Whittier, and College Fjord.
All Alaska cruises will include scenic sailing to view glaciers, while Seabourn's expedition team will offer expert commentary on the region's wildlife, landscapes, and cultural heritage.
Passengers seeking a more active adventure can participate in optional Ventures by Seabourn experiences, including Zodiac boat tours and kayaking excursions to get up close to Alaska's extraordinary natural environment. These activities will be led by the company's world-class expedition team.
Certain itineraries will also include scenic sailing along the coast of the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia, with opportunities to observe whales, orcas and other wildlife in one of North America's most pristine coastal ecosystems.
Canada and New England, between coastal culture and natural beauty
The Seabourn Quest season through Canada and New England will include 12- and 13-day cruises between September and October, showcasing the region's rich maritime traditions, French-Canadian heritage, charming coastal communities, and beautiful autumn scenery.
Passengers will enjoy overnight stays in Boston, Quebec and St. John's, as well as visits to exclusive ports such as Gaspé, the Madeleine Islands and Prince Edward Island.
The shore excursions throughout the region will highlight the culture, cuisine, history, and natural beauty of each location, providing a deeper understanding of the destinations visited. The complete list of corresponding cruises is available at this link.
