Silversea has concluded its 2026 Venetian Society Reunion Voyage aboard the Silver Shadow. From June 19 to July 1, first-time guests and members of the Venetian Society—Silversea’s loyalty program—visited 10 ports in France, Italy, and Malta on a round-trip itinerary from Nice, accompanied by Silversea President Bert Hernandez and other executives from the brand.
The itinerary, selected by members of the Venetian Society, featured exclusive touches created especially for this voyage, ranging from commemorative gifts inspired by the destinations visited to themed dining experiences and enhanced entertainment offerings. Guests celebrated the end of the voyage with a spectacular grand finale: a fireworks display lit up the night sky over Portofino, Italy, on June 30.
“Silversea’s Venetian Society Reunion Voyages are designed with the guests who know us best in mind,” said Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea.“These gatherings give us the opportunity to connect deeply with our most loyal and experienced travelers, and I greatly value that time—not only to celebrate, but also to listen, exchange ideas, and continue to elevate the Silversea experience.” This voyage featured an itinerary they chose themselves, with unique moments and every detail designed to exceed expectations—from a private evening on the Amalfi Coast to an exclusive olive oil tasting at a historic estate near Gaeta. That level of access, shared with like-minded travelers, is what keeps our guests coming back time and time again.”
EXCLUSIVE EXPERIENCES ON LAND AND ON BOARD
The Silver Shadow set sail from Nice on June 19 before making an overnight stop in Livorno, offering a unique opportunity to explore the heart of the Tuscan countryside. From there, the voyage continued to Porto Santo Stefano, Civitavecchia (Rome), Valletta (Malta), Giardini Naxos, at the foot of Taormina, Salerno, and Portofino.
The itinerary came to life through a series of exclusive events and experiences, including:
- A private wine experience in Tuscany (Porto Santo Stefano, Italy): Guests participated in a land-based experience organized by President Bert Hernandez and traveled to Tenuta Ammiraglia, the Frescobaldi family’s coastal estate in Tuscany. Belonging to one of Italy’s oldest noble wine-making dynasties—with more than 30 generations dedicated to winemaking—the estate provided the perfect setting for an exclusive tasting accompanied by lunch amid vineyard-covered hills overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.
- An exclusive evening in Salerno (Salerno, Italy): Members of the Venetian Society were invited to *Alla Scoperta di Ennio Morricone*, an exclusive private concert held at Tenuta dei Normanni, a century-old estate nestled among ancient olive groves and Norman arches in the hills of Salerno. Guests were welcomed with signature cocktails, Italian prosecco, and traditional southern Italian specialties before taking their seats in the estate’s open-air sandstone amphitheater. There, the Ensemble Symphony Orchestra performed a tribute to the immortal works of Oscar-winning composer Ennio Morricone under the night sky.
- An olive oil getaway at Antica Masseria (Gaeta, Italy): A small group of guests enjoyed an intimate tasting experience at a historic masseria, discovering one of the region’s oldest agricultural traditions through a guided tour from the olive grove to the table, which combined local products with the leisurely pace of the Italian countryside.
- Farewell Party and Fireworks (Portofino, Italy): Guests gathered by the pool deck for an emotional farewell as the Silver Shadow ’s singers and dancers performed their final show. Next, the crew took to the deck, proudly representing their home countries, before a spectacular fireworks display lit up the calm waters of Portofino Harbor, putting the finishing touch on a voyage as memorable as the destination itself.
Throughout the voyage, each destination was reflected in culinary experiences specially designed for the Venetian Society gathering. At La Terrazza, a newly launched dinner menu was complemented by themed breakfast and lunch offerings that varied at each port, ranging from a live “Pasta Fantasy” station in Livorno to a Maltese buffet of fresh fish and seafood in Valletta.
During the cruise, guests enjoyed an elaborate Silversea brunch featuring seafood, cold cuts, cheeses, and a wide selection of desserts. Each afternoon, happy hour gatherings brought travelers together to enjoy signature cocktails, premium caviar, and artisanal canapés.
The entertainment lineup featured both regular performers and newcomers to Silversea, including the vocal group Tenors Unlimited and singer Kenny James. Among the new daytime activities were “Studio at Sea,” a painting experience accompanied by live music, and “Escape Room by Puzzle Break,” which challenged participants to work together to solve a series of puzzles against the clock.
Guests also enjoyed special editions of trivia contests and bingo, hosted by President Bert Hernandez, with prizes specially selected for the winners.
Silversea has confirmed that the 2027 Venetian Society Reunion Voyage will take place aboard the Silver Dawn, a 12-day cruise between Copenhagen and Southampton departing on September 3, 2027, with an itinerary also selected by members of the Venetian Society.
