To mark International Women's Day, Norwegian Cruise Line, the innovative global cruise company, has launched a special program for its female team members with the slogan "Step Up, Speak Up, Stand Up, and Never, Ever Give Up," which will be running throughout this month as part of the company's culture of recognizing and empowering its employees.

These messages come at a time when the cruise company is about to mark one year since it voluntarily and temporarily suspended its operations due to the global pandemic.
Throughout March, NCL will host mentoring sessions, special talks with female leaders, and encourage all team members to share their empowerment stories, while also motivating them to show appreciation for the rest of the company's employees worldwide. They will also have a front-row seat to conversations with well-known radio personalities Danielle Monaro and Medha Gandhi from 'Elvis Duran and The Morning Show,' a daily morning radio program and a close partner of NCL.
“The past 12 months have undoubtedly been among the most challenging of our lives,” said Harry Sommer, President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Given the suspension of operations and all that it entails, we are pleased to take this moment to recognize and celebrate the women throughout our organization who have been on the front lines during these unprecedented times and who are inevitably helping us move toward a future of innovation and success. Today, and every day, we want to empower every member of our team to challenge the status quo and rise to every challenge that comes their way,” he emphasized.
Sonia López Corrales, Senior Manager of Business Development for Spain and Portugal, who has been with the company for 12 years and has been essential during these challenging times, also wanted to share her message with all women: “Never stop believing in your potential. Dream big and imagine where you want to go, and you will get there.”
Last month, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., which owns NCL, was listed by the prestigious Forbes magazine that highlights the best large employers in the United States, ranking among the top 75 companies in the overall large employers category and among the top 10 in the travel and leisure sector.
As part of their efforts for International Women's Day, Norwegian Cruise Line's female leaders will be sharing inspirational messages of empowerment and motivating other brand employees to share their words as well.
